Depending on where you fly in from, Bali holds a big international airport, Denpasar Ngurah Rai, which has regular flights entering from Singapore, Sydney, Bangkok and LA daily .  Sometimes an international flight might fly to Bali via Jakarta, Indonesia's capitol city.  Jakarta is only an hour flight from Denpasar.

What are the visa requirements into Indonesia? 

 Indonesian visa requirements request that all passengers have ready USD $25 at hand on arrival. With this you will be given a 30 day visa. Please be aware that day 1 starts on the day you land not the 24 hours following. The visa is non extendable. If you wish to stay longer than one month you can apply for a social visa in which you will need a letter of invitation by a person of Indonesian nationality living in Indonesia. The letter is then taken to your closest Indonesian Consulate and you will recieve a six month visa for a small fee.

Bring casual clothes, light clothing, t-shirts, shorts, sandals, bathing suit, one long sleeved light top, towel, walking shoes. 

 

What will the food be like? 

 Indonesian cuisine is usually rich with spices and aromas. Some can be quite hot. So if you don't like spicy hot food request with the cooking staff beforehand. Usually most hotels will offer Indonesian and western cuisine.
